Since the publication of his „Jazz Suite für Cello“ (Schott CB 224), the Italian cellist and composer Lucio Amanti has been more than an insider tip. His „Jazz Duets“ are popular in lessons and are aimed at all those who want to play jazzy pieces on the cello and are looking for fresh repertoire. The book contains popular forms such as blues, Latin, swing or ballad and uses many modern playing techniques: swinging and grooving strokes, slides, syncopation, ternary playing and much more. All pieces are also suitable for improvisation. While volume 1 contains easy pieces in the 1st position, now playing in all neck positions and a good bowing technique is required. Let’s groove!
