The composer puts the original close to those rhythms and expressions of crossover music which are popular today. Drigo's tune is carried on, gets changed, also in terms of harmonies and - above all - has a strong rhythmic undercurrent. Virtuoso inserts resembling patterns add additional colour and liveliness to the whole piece.
