About Christopher Dingle

Christopher Dingle is Professor of Music at Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, where he is Director of the French Music Research Hub and also a member of the Forum for 17th- and 18th-Century Music. His editions of Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges have been performed and broadcast by the BBC Philharmonic as part of the AHRC/BBC Radio 3 Diverse Composers Scheme, and he is currently preparing a book on the composer for Routledge. He is author/editor of books on Messiaen, Julian Anderson and Music Criticism, is Series Editor for the new Routledge Musical Landmarks book series and has written for BBC Music Magazine for nearly 30 years.
