About David Lang
David Lang, born 1957 in Los Angeles. Studied at Stanford and the University of Iowa, and at the Yale School of Music with Jacob Druckman, Hans Werner Henze, Martin Bresnick and others. Cofounded the Bang on a Can festival, 1987; composer in residence at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, 1992. Numerous awards, including the Rome Prize, the BMW Music Theater Prize, a Kennedy CenterFriedheim Award, a Bessie Award and the Pulitzer Prize for Music.Products
