About Ingrid Karlen
Ingrid Karlen, following her studies with Jürg von Vintschger in Zurich, Jürg Wyttenbach in Basel, and Claude Helffer in Paris, has specialized in the music of the 20th and 21st centuries. As a soloist and chamber musician, she concertizes in Europe, the USA, the Ukraine, China, New Zealand, and Australia. During a year’s residency in China, she made an intensive study of the current Chinese music scene. In addition to numerous radio recordings, premieres, and other first performances, she has released a solo CD featuring works by Boulez, Ustvolskaya, and Silvestrov. She is a member of the ensemble Aequatuor. Since 1991, she has been teaching at the Conservatory in Zurich. In 2002, she was given a year’s Residency from the Zug canton; and in 2004, she received a year’s Residency with the ensemble Aequatuor from the city of Zurich.Products
