About Johannes Kreidler
Johannes Kreidler (b. 1980) studied composition, electronic music and theory from 2000 to 2006 at Freiburg University of Music and The Hague Conservatory, where his teachers included Mathias Spahlinger and Orm Finnendahl. Since 2006 he has taught composition, theory, ear training and electronic music at various musical institutions, including Hamburg University of Music and Theatre (since 2013). He was awarded the Kranichstein Music Prize in 2012.His music has been performed at such festivals as Donaueschingen (2012, 2015), the Witten Festival of New Chamber Music (2013), the Darmstadt Summer Courses (2010, 2012, 2014), Ultraschall Berlin (2013, 2014), Eclat in Stuttgart (2015), the Ultima Festival in Oslo (2010, 2014), Musica in Strasbourg (2010), the Gaudeamus Muziekweek (2010) and the Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival (2010, 2011).
His books “Loadbang: Programming Electronic Music in Puredata” (2009) and “Musik mit Musik – Texte 2005–2011” (2012) are published by Wolke publishing house. Today he lives and works in Berlin.
