About Paul DeMarinis
Paul DeMarinis was born in 1948 in Cleveland OH and studied filmmaking with Paul Sharits at Antioch College, where he received his BA; in 1973 he earned his MFA in electronic music at Mills College after studies with Terry Riley. His installations and performances have been shown worldwide. In 2003 he received the Golden Nica for Interactive Art from the Ars Electronica Festival. Paul
DeMarinis is an archaeologist of recording technologies and has presented both audio and optical instruments in his exhibitions. He is currently an associate professor at Stanford University.
