About Shelley Hirsch
Shelley Hirsch was born in Brooklyn NY in 1952 and honed her skills at experimental theaters in San Francisco CA. Her first solo performances were in Berlin in the 1980s; from then on she worked with a variety of musicians, including Jon Rose, Elliott Sharp, and Christian Marclay. Her first record was released in 1988 in cooperation with David Weinstein; currently she is affiliated with Alvin Curran’s Philharmonia.
