About The Michael Gordon Philharmonic
Michael Gordon (*1956 in Florida) grew up in Nicaragua and Miami Beach; he studied composition at Yale University with Martin Bresnick and gained initial recognition playing in the New York underground bands of the 1980s. He founded a number of festivals and cooperated on many theatrical projects; since the early 1990s his performances have included multimedia aspects like films, videos, etc. and have become more and more complex.
